SKYKOPATH
Synopsis
In the town of Index WA, cradled in mist-laden mountains and ancient evergreens, Evelyn again enjoys her evening walks. But it wasn’t always so easy. Her childhood was steeped in the supernatural allure of the Cascades. Generations echo along this range. One spring afternoon, when she was 13 years old, she wandered a little too far. What happened next would haunt her for years to come. It wasn’t until she met Akane (あかね, アカネ) at her local grocery store that the cycle began to be broken.
“A slice of life, from deep in the heart of the Pacific Northwest” …
“A tale of trauma, chance meetings, and subsequent turnarounds” …
“Draws on a long, colorful tradition of Japanese ghost storytelling.”
From the Author
“I really enjoy reading and writing short stories. I’m just getting started in the genre, as a natural progression from my songwriting and poetry. I’ve got a friend back east in New Jersey who’s been encouraging me to continue along this path, after listening to my first effort (The Cliffs of Dyrholaey). She likes the intersection of creepy and sexy.”
